Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Denoize ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the API, you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the service.
The service
Denoize is an HTTP API that fetches a public URL you submit, extracts its content (Markdown + metadata + chunks), and returns it. We may also expose this functionality as an MCP tool. The service is offered "as is", with the limits and behaviors described in our docs.
Account
- You must be at least 16 years old (13 in the US) and able to enter into a binding contract.
- One account per person or organization. Don't create multiple free accounts to circumvent quotas.
- Your API keys are credentials. Treat them like passwords. We'll never ask you to share them.
- You are responsible for all activity from your account, including activity on revoked keys before the revocation took effect.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Denoize to:
- Extract content you don't have the legal right to access (login-walled, paywalled, etc.)
- Bypass robots.txt, terms of service, or rate limits of the sites you submit URLs for
- Submit URLs at a rate or pattern intended to overload third-party sites
- Process content that infringes copyright, contains malware, or facilitates illegal activity
- Probe internal/private networks via SSRF (we block this technically — don't try to find a way around it)
- Resell, white-label, or proxy the API to others as if it were your own service
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Severe or repeat violations may be reported to relevant authorities.
Credits and billing
- The service runs on a credit model: each successful API call consumes 1 credit.
- New accounts receive 25 free credits at signup. These are non-transferable and have no cash value.
- You can purchase additional credit packages via Stripe Checkout. Purchased credits never expire and remain valid as long as your account is active.
- All sales are final. We may issue refunds for unused credits within 14 days of purchase at our discretion — email [email protected].
- Prices are shown in USD and exclude any applicable taxes (VAT, sales tax). Stripe collects taxes where required.
Service availability
We aim for high availability but don't currently offer a formal SLA on the Free tier. Scheduled maintenance and unscheduled downtime may occur. We don't credit accounts for downtime on the Free or Starter/Standard packages — if you need an SLA, contact us.
Termination
- You can delete your account at any time. Email [email protected] — we'll process within 30 days.
- We can suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms, abuse, or non-payment. Where possible, we'll give you notice and a chance to remedy first.
- Unused purchased credits are forfeited on account termination unless we initiated the termination without cause (in which case we refund the unused balance).
Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of extracted content, or non-infringement. Extracted content reflects what the upstream URL returned at fetch time and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of your use of Denoize is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €50 if you haven't paid us anything. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Italy. Any dispute will be brought before the courts of Italy, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country requires otherwise.
